As the son of world travelers and an amateur traveler myself, I take a lot of pride in looking the part when I walk into an airport terminal. I was raised to look presentable when travelling and I will definitely be passing that tradition on to my own kids.

Lately, I have realized that, along with clothes and footwear, your luggage casts a serious impression of you. I must say that I haven’t exactly been known to carry around the flyest luggage, to say the least, but that’s about to change.

When I think Diesel, I think watches and jeans, so I’m still taken back by the fact that they’ve entered broader categories, in this case, luggage. The Diesel Strong Duffle is some fly a** s**t.  It’s a rectangular olive green canvas duffle with a wraparound  leather belt detail at the top and so much more.

‘Nuff said. Click here to cop the Diesel Strong Duffle.

I never really paid much attention to Gourmet Sneakers because I didn’t really feel like they had styles I could wear, but that has definitely changed over the past few months. Either Gourmet made some serious changes to their sneaker line or I just woke up from the deepest of slumbers.

These definitely stopped me in my tracks at work today when I saw them. Whoever came up with the idea to have asymmetrical shoelace panels deserves praise… and a serious raise. Between the paloma (not gray) grain leather, paloma suede upper, and the rubber soles, these sneakers definitely make the cut.

Is paloma an actual color or is this some creative concoction by Gourmet? If it is then excuse my astute lack of knowledge of all my colors. Anyways, let me stop there before I make a fool myself. I just found out these have a pigskin leather insole… I don’t know how I feel about that.

I’ve always seen Guess as a brand with high craftsmanship when it comes to timepieces. Although I’ve never actually owned a Guess watch, I admire the different styles of their watches.

The 25th Anniversary Iconic Cuff Watch stands out as one of the most stylish Guess watches I’ve seen in a while. I came across the Brown Leather Cuff version some time back and it was love at first sight. It features a silver-tone case and a silver and rose-gold-tone dial.

Guess recently released the Cuff Watch in black leather and it features a gunmetal-tone case with a gunmetal and silver-tone dial. The black leather Cuff Watch is definitely on my wish-list, and with a 10-year limited warranty it’s definitely a keeper.

more about “STRAIGHT NO CHASER (CONCEPT VIDEO)“, posted with vodpod

This is my favorite song off Mr Hudson’s upcoming album Straight No Chaser. I’m still tryna figure out who produced this song, but my top source – Wikipedia – hasn’t been too helpful.

I came across this video on none other than Kanye West’ blog and I was completely blown away. The video is by Matt Perri, or at least according to vimeo it is, and he did a great job with the video editing. You would think this was an official video the way the different scenes match up almost perfectly to the song lyrics.

I don’t know about you but this video has definitely awoken my inner producer, so don’t be surprised if you see a concept video by yours truly sometime soon… lol. I would post the mp3 for the song but my respect for Mr Hudson’s musical talent prevents me from doing so.

desire to blog

It’s been almost 6 months since M.O.M.B. has been fully functional and I must say that it’s been too long. Between this project, and another project I’ve pretty much left for dead, I’ve been too busy to devote as much time to M.O.M.B. as I truly desire. But, at this point, time can no longer be a constriaint.

Last night, as I perused countless blogs, I started to remember the reasons why I started this project. I had a strong desire to share several things of interest to me with the rest of the world and that desire resulted in the birth of MO.M.B. The journey to creating M.O.M.B. was not easy an one, but it has definitely been a fulfilling one.

I realize that site visitors are drawn to M.O.M.B. for a number of reasons, but mostly because of the site’s combined experience. It’s hard to say this without seeming egotistical, but M.O.M.B. is truly a blog like no other and I have lost something extremely dear to me in the time that M.O.M.B. hasn’t been running.

I know in the past I’ve said words like “Oh and btw f@!%# what you heard. I’m back b*****s!” but I can assure you that this time M.O.M.B. is truly back. I don’t expect it to be an easy ride back to the top (whatever the top might be), but my desire to blog has spilled over and I guarantee that M.O.M.B. is making a swift comeback.

With no further ado, join me in welcoming back to the stage… “MY OWN MOTHER@!%#ING BLOG”

Yours Truly,

Mr Deuce

I’ve haven’t stopped laughing since I saw this infomercial this morning. There’s no way you’re gonna tell me that the Slap Chop is not gonna see more sales because of this commercial.

I know Vince Shlomi is still in jail, but he’s gonna die laughing once he sees this. This video is actually the longer version of the one featured on TV, but it’s still funny. Go here to download the mp3 version of the song.

“Watch this, you’re gonna love my nuts.” LMFAO!

Surf Club

I was doing my usual daily internet rounds a few weeks back when I came across some unbelievably talented dudes who make up the production team Surf Club.

Surf Club is made up of Hit-Boy, Chili Chil, B.Carr, and Chase N. Cashe. These dudes are the next big thing to hit the music industry.

I was on Chase N. Cashe’s blog when I came across a song Surf Club produced for Chili Chil. The track is titled yenom, which is a play on the word ‘money’ and it’s been getting heavy rotation on my end.

I know you’re probably wondering what’s with the names Surf Club and Chili Chil, but I can definitely say that their work speaks for itself.

Without any further delay, I present to you… (drum roll)… Surf Club x Chili Chil = Yenom.

Chili Chil – Yenom

I’ve been wearing these sneakers in my mind for the past couple of weeks, and even though they’re on my wish list I know I’ m not going to be truly satisfied until these sneakers are sitting above my closet.

Terry Kennedy definitely did a number on me when he came out with these and I’m pretty sure SUPRA is caking off this line. There are about three other colors besides this one: Black & Red, Red, and Purple. I was sold on the black and red ones till I saw these a few weeks back.

Anyone who is familiar with M.O.M.B. knows hi-top sneakers tend to get extra attention over here. This edition of the TK Society features a gray patent leather upper, exclusive SupraFoam ® midsole providing entire foot impact resistance and optimal shoe flex, two Velcro straps at the upper ankle, and a lot more. In short, these are f@!%#ing dope.

You can either get these or eat your hearts out. Oh and btw f@!%# what you heard. I’m back b*****s! LMAO!

Happy 4th of July!

more about “YOUNG DRO – TAKE OFF (FEAT. YUNG L.A.)“, posted with vodpod

I’ve been a Young Dro fan for a while and I was really looking forward to his career, but it didn’t take off as I expected (no pun intended), but he’s back with another hit.

The song is on point; the video is on-point; the swag is on-point. What more could you possibly ask for?

Feel free to spazz out to this s**t while I work on getting MOMB fully functional again.

P.S. – My favorite line in the song is “I’m a westside boi yeah potna potna potna…”

I usually don’t do this, but this is a special mother@!%#ing occasion. DJ RL is killin’ right now.

Every single DJ out there right now needs to step their game up. DJ RL is most definintely the youngest in charge and I don’t give a f**k who thinks otherwise.

I was over at WorldStarHipHop “The CNN of Urban Media” like two days ago doing my daily online rounds when I came across this video, which I’m not even about to get into.

Long story short, the song(s) playing in the background of the video are probably the hottest f@!%#ing b’more songs I’ve heard in a minute. If you haven’t figured it out the songs are by DJ RL.

My favorite song is by far “Put It Down.” It’s a remix of K-Swift and DJ Blaqstarr’s “Hands Up, Thums Down” b’more classic.

For those of you who don’t know, “Hands Up, Thums Down” is the s**t and if you’re not on it you need to get familiar.

Anyways, “Put It Down”‘ is a mix of “Hands Up, Thumbs Down” and Trey Songz “Last Time.” If you haven’t heard the song you’re probabaly wondering WTF is going on.

This song is FIRE, no lie. The mixing and blending on this track is ridiculous!

He also has a couple other notable songs but “Put It Down” is by far the hottest. I actually don’t have the song in mp3 so I have to go to his myspace every single time I wanna listen to that s**t.

Click here to go to his myspace. I actually just found out that today is also his birthday, so you can support him by heading over there.
