DJ Earworm has given me arguably the best gift in music in 2009, and I’m practicing something I don’t normally believe in; re-gifting. I just have to share this with everyone, and you can take this as your Christmas, birthday, or whatever-you-like present.
I’ve always been a fan of DJ Earworm, i.e. since my brother put me on to him about a year or so ago. DJ Earworm is probably one of my favorite mashup DJ’s, if there’s even any such thing. Anyways, Earworm’s work is defined in his moniker. His work is truly an earworm, i.e. something you can’t ignore, in case you couldn’t follow.
If this were an actual song it would be the monster single of the year. Hold on, the year isn’t over yet so it CAN actually be the monster single of the year for the next two and a half hours. Where else could you possibly go to hear Drake, Taylor Swift, and the Kings of Leon on the same track?
Trust me, this is worth the listen. You can thank DJ Earworm later, but right now click here to listen to and/or download this song.
“I know you want pop, you want dance, you want rock & roll…”
Happy New Year!
This is for all my Drake Fans.
This is for all my electronic fans.
This is for music fans.
Drake’s “Forever” is probably the monster single of the year. Kanye West x Lil Wayne x Eminem = Undisputed Greatness! Just when I thought the buzz surrounding the song had started to wear off, Steve Aoki blessed us with a remix.
For the unfamiliar heads, Steve Aoki A.K.A DJ Steve Aoki Kid Millionaire is not your everyday DJ. Unknown to many, he has remixed some of your favorite songs and some of your parent’s favorite songs. And by some of your parent’s favorite songs I mean Michael Jackson’s “Dancing Machine.” Yes, you read that right. He has also received international acclaim, including the awards for “Best Party Rocker DJ” by BPM Magazine and “Best Mix Album of the Year” by Billboard.
Aoki’s “Forever” remix is a treat. I was blasting it at work and I could see why he won that Best Party Rocker DJ award ‘cuz virtually everyone who walked by me either made a comment giving props or broke out in dance. Lord knows what I would do if I could make hot chicks break out into dance at will… lol
Without further ado, I give you Steve Aoki’s remix of “Forever.”

I just realized that lately I haven’t made any posts in the heavy rotation category, so this is for all my music heads out there. This mixtape came out a while back, and although it isn’t an official weezy mixtape, it’s still one of my favorites.
The album artwork for the mixtape is pretty funny, but when you think about it weezy could definitely be a pirate. I can picture him screaming “Arrgh” and telling other rappers to walk the plank… LMFAO!
Anyways, this is one of those times when I’m feeling really generous, so I’ve decided to drop two tracks off the mixtape. One track is a single by Mika Means featuring weezy and the other is a remix blend of Drake’s “Forever.”

I was doing my usual daily internet rounds a few weeks back when I came across some unbelievably talented dudes who make up the production team Surf Club.
Surf Club is made up of Hit-Boy, Chili Chil, B.Carr, and Chase N. Cashe. These dudes are the next big thing to hit the music industry.
I was on Chase N. Cashe’s blog when I came across a song Surf Club produced for Chili Chil. The track is titled yenom, which is a play on the word ‘money’ and it’s been getting heavy rotation on my end.
I know you’re probably wondering what’s with the names Surf Club and Chili Chil, but I can definitely say that their work speaks for itself.
Without any further delay, I present to you… (drum roll)… Surf Club x Chili Chil = Yenom.
Chili Chil – Yenom
Vodpod videos no longer available.
This is my favorite song and video out right now… probably because it features two of my favorite artists: Weezy + Drizzy. I didn’t know what to expect for the video, but they did a good job with the animation and pop-up words.
Click here to see the video in it’s full view.
I’ve been working on my graphic design lately, so I decided to make a cover for the “Every Girl” single.
The video was very playful so I decided to carry that theme over to the album artwork and I really like the outcome.
I’m feeling really generous so I decided to drop two mp3 versions as well.

This is probably my favorite song out right now. For those of who you might not know, Se7en is a South Korean Pop/R&B singer who has been succesful in Asia and is currently working on an American Debut.
The song is produced by Rodney ‘Darkchild’ Jerkins, who also produced Bobby Valentino’s Turn The Page, Keyshia Cole’s Shoulda Let You Go, and Ludacris’ What Them Girls Like.
This version of the song features Lil’ Kim, but there’s another version without Lil’ Kim which! Holla at me if you want that version, but in the mean time feel free to rock out to the sounds of Se7en.

Love vs. Money is so far the best album of 2009. The album is like a mother@!%#ing movie.
The-Dream is one of my favorite artists ‘cuz he raises the creative standards in music, and he is definitely one of my musical inspirations.
This track is one of my favorites on the album and I can’t wait to hear it at the club… That is of course if people don’t sleep on this song.
The-Dream – Put It Down
Laze & Royal are definitely making moves in ’09. I came across them last year when I saw the video for Like a Pistol, and I recognized them as the boys from 2XL.
I downloaded their new mixtape, When World’s Collide, Vol 1., over the weekend and this is probably my favorite song off the entire mixtape.
Laze & Royal – L.A. State of Mind (Freestyle)
“It’s an original beat…”
I’ve been f***ing with the boys from Making The Band 4 long before they considered calling themselves DAY26, and I can definitley say that they have come a long way.
Their self-titled debut album was number one on the U.S. Billboard 200 when it dropped around this time last year, but I still think a lot of people are sleeping on the boys of DAY26.
I’m definitely feeling this song right here. Just last month, I was talkin’ about how I needed to hear some hot new R&B s**t ‘cuz I’m slowly gettin’ tired of the handful of wack hip-hop/rap songs that are out right now.
This song has definitely fulfilled my short-term R&B cravings and I hope it will do the same for you.
DAY26 – Imma Put It On Her
DAY26 – Imma Put It On Her (Featuring Yung Joc & Diddy)
Kid Cudi’s album is definitely going to be a classic. I knew he had talent but I really didn’t pay attention to him until I listened to his A Kid Name Cudi mixtape.
I think I’ve already pissed enough people off by leaving this song on repeat for over an hour, but I really don’t care. This s**t is hot.
I heard a snippet of the song last week over at Kanye’s blog. The song is used on the Transformer’s trailer and is probably going to be on the soundtrack, but I couldn’t wait till the soundtrack dropped to get it.
Need I say more… watch out for the cudder.
